Re: Load leveling suspension V70-XC70 98

Hey guys! I know it's been awhile since you posted here, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents anyway. I have a '96 850R wagon that came with the Nivomat self leveling shocks. When the car is loaded, it will sag horribly. (I had over 300 lbs. of stuff in back.) Once the car is rolling however, the up and down motion of the shock will "pump it up" to about normal ride height. Depending on how much up and down motion there is and how heavy the car is, it could take a while to get up to full height. Once the car has been left to sit for awhile, the air will escape, and the car will sink. The reverse is also true. If the car is unloaded immediatly and quickley, it'll look kinda funny and handle wierd for a day or so untill it sinks back down. I think I also heard you talking about IPD in there somewhere. I'm sure they will tell you this, but if you ever want to change the springs, you'll have to dump the Nivomats and get something smaller...

I know this all may have been redundant, but if you've seen my other posts on this board, you know I like to ramble...

Happy Motoring!

Aaron
