ICQ>

If your car is a 1995 or before you can reset the service reminder this way:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Procedure for Zeroing Service Reminder Indicator]

1) Turn ignition on [do not start engine].

2) Select position 7 on Diagnostic Connector A [you'll find the diagnostic

box by the left headlamp under the hood...pop the cover off and plug the

fly-connector into slot 7].

3) Depress the button four (4) times, shortly but distinctly.

You now have entered test mode 4.

When the LED emits a steady glow, system is ready to accept code.

Code 1-5-1 = zero service timer

[AllData refers to each sequence of button presses as 1 digit]

4) Enter first digit Ώ press] while the LED is still glowing. Wait until

LED starts to emit steady glow again before entering second digit Γ

presses]. Repeat procedure for third digit [after the five presses wait for

the steady LED glow again and then press the button one final time].

5) Wait for confirmation from control module by LED giving a couple of

rapid flashes. Zeroing is completed and Service Reminder Indicator is Off

Δ) Switch OFF the ignition to exit the manual input mode, replace the

fly-connector in its holder and refit the diagnostic unit cover.]

Ε) Switch ON the ignition again and check that the service reminder light

does not illuminate.]

The indicator lamp illuminates for approximately 2 minutes each time the

engine is started until service has been performed and counter reset.
