CEL, "engine system service' displayed, no AC? C70 2007

Unrelated items. Check the CEL error code. An error code will turn off the cruise control.

If the AC worked great and then suddenly quit working, it could be ice buildup in the evaporator core. There is a thermostat buried in the core, accessable after removing the driver's kick panel. Most early P2 cars had that problem, usually caused by people setting the dash temp to max cold and leaving it there instead of a preferred temp like 74F.
