Can the engine come out alone ?

New seals make perfect sense if you are in there.

My local Auto Wrecker has a 2007 with 54k for about the price of 4 new tires.

So after a buying gaskets rings bearing shells connecting rod and piston

You could wind up with the same cost.

The only way it would make sense is if you could install the piston from

Bottom then put on the rod. leaving the head in place.
