2004 XC70

Any fault code that can turn on the check engine light will disable the cruise control.

The ECM 928C is an error from the CEM, which is a buss connector from all of the computers to the engine computer.

Did the removal of the security module cause this? Possible. Also possible is that the CEM really does have an error. I would be surprised that the removal of the security module didn't cause more problems.
