Thanks for the responses. This car spent most of its life in Quebec and I picked it up just four years ago. The Four-C system is only two stage, not three stage. I think the three stage system is standard on the R model. I had to replace one of the shocks this moth and it was really expense with no after market availability but I love the ride of the car so much and it has caused me so few problems that I indulged in the $1,100 CAD shock from Volvo. I plan to keep running as long I can. I don't see anything that Volvo makes today that I would trade for.
