The speaker wires come directly from the radio or the amplifier, depending on the radio you have.

I had a problem in my 1998 where the right speaker would go away at random times, usually when my wife was in the car. Not until I took the door panel off did I realize that the paper cone had a tear in it.

The 1998 also had a dash speaker whose magnet fell off the back of the speaker, a little glue and all was well again.
