so I've spent the time since my last posting educating myself on instrument cluster repair and removal techniques as well as soldering tutorials. I also have seen that there are services that do this sort of thing for around $100.00, and that there are re-manufactured clusters available for as little as $50.00. Has anyone had experience with either of these options? Would plugging in a cluster that is not original to my vehicle require a trip to the dealership for programming?
