Programming a new key fob V70-XC70

I recently purchased a nice low-mileage 2000 V-70 (really) . The car came with only one key, and no key working key fob. The previous owner did give me two, new in the package, fobs yet to be programmed to the vehicle. Is there a method that I can employ to accomplish this, or am I off to the dealer for this procedure?
