Check the clutch travel, if it is less than 1" from the floor at disengagement/engagement, it is probably time for a new one. $$$$

The 5 cyl is really shoe horned into the engine bay. There should be a timing belt sticker on the computer box or paper invoice in the glove box. The T belt should have been changed around 120K.
