Bummer,
I had just replaced the heater coupling in the firewall for new heater hoses
and was laying over the engine working on either side of the top motor mount bracket to do the job. The fire started after a short 3 mile errand. I saw smoke coming out of the hood and pulled off the road. The fire was by the passenger side of the engine bay. It might have been put out easily with a dry chemical fire extinguisher then, which I didn't have. Within minutes the engine bay was an inferno. Maybe that rubber hose at the left end of the rail was the
fault? There's a heads up for everyone to replace that little hose.
