It may very well be the antenna ring needing replacement. If you have a 2nd key, try using that for a while. The next time it happens, pull the key out of the lock and try again. If it still won't start get out of the car, lock and unlock the doors and try starting again.

If your battery is below 12V at rest, all bets are off.
