Do I have a gas gauge problem? V70-XC70

You bent the tank and then dropped the car? Are you pouring out gasoline when the engine is running?

Aahh, you have a plastic tank and it looks OK now? The level sender is on the driver's side, but if you bent it, It should always be higher or lower than actual. A Normal gauge should read full for 50-60 miles after a fill up.

You may have pushed the sensor arm past 'full' and now have a low reading when almost full.

Be careful when ordering sensors, they changed in late 2007 and you will need the last digits of the VIN to get a proper one.
