Do you have to grease the end link stops on a 2006 V70? V70-XC70 2006

Hello All,

I recently purchased a 2006 V70 FWD, non-turbo wagon with a 168,000 miles. Recently and for the first time I drove it up on ramps and climbed underneath. I have two 1996 850 GLT wagons and the owner's manual recommends greasing the the end link stops, which I do regularly everytime I change the oil. I noticed on the end link stops on the 2006 V70 were completely bone dry and there was no grease at all on the stop. I also noticed the rubber bushing on the lower portion of the control arm that comes in contact with the end link stop is of a more robust and pronounced design than those that come on the 850 lower control arms. I looked in the owner's manual for the 2006 V70 and there is not mention of the need to grease the end link stops, as there is in the 850 manual.

My questions to all is: Do you have to grease the end link stops on the 2006 V70?

Thank you to all who reply.

Hugh
