starter problems 850 1994

whit,

I has the same exact problem for the last 2-3 weeks except I was having the problem in the cold. When the car warmed up there was not delay in starting but I would hear metal to metal seconds after it started.

i just had the starter replaced finally yesterday for $500 from a dealer ...not sure if I got ripped..had no choice..let me know what you pay and where you paid..

The metal to metal sound the dealer was concerned was might be from the flywheel problem..he said that is expensive,,,
