Rich,

I had been having problems with my drivers side wiper arm not stying in place too. I pulled it off today like you said and did indeed find the splines on the rotator clogged with aluminum from the wiper arm. So I used a sharp awl I had, cleaned them out, replaced the arm and tightened it down good. I'll bet this cures my problem too. Thanks!
