What grade of fuel? 850

Hi - I own a 1995 850 Turbo Wagon with 93,500 miles. Since purchasing the car I have always used 93 octane fuel, usually Amoco or Mobil. When the spark plugs were pulled for replacement, there was alot of what appeared to be a carbon build-up on the plugs. Could this be the fuel? Should I be using the 87 octane instead of the 93? The car runs great but I am concerned about the look of the plugs. Thanks!
