Battery warning red light? 850

I think that in the manual it states that the light coming on actually indicates "Generator not Charging", and of course when you shut your car off, there is a brief period between "On" and "Off" where the car's generator is not charging the battery (I think the light stays on if you turn "On" your car, but don't move the key to "Start"), I'm not sure, but I think it is normal.
