Hi Matt,
had the same question. Dealer wants EURO 760,00 for parts only, plus installation.
I decided to buy a universal CD changer, one of these you connect to the antenna lead of the radio. When I got it, I had a look at the rear of the radio, only to find that there is no standard antenna plug/socket.
So I can't use this either, because I don't want to mess with the original installation (warranty and such). Will install the universal CD in my trusty '66 Buick Skylark instead....
I ended up buying a small portable CD player with an adaptor cassette. I built a small, slidable tray under the armrest, which houses the unit. When I want to listen to a CD, I just insert the adaptor cassette into the head unit.
I know, it's a less than perfect solution, but I didn't want to shell out so much money for occasionally listening to some music.
Good luck
Stefan (in Germany)
PS The original CD changer kit from Volvo includes two new panels for the left side of the storage area, which provide the extra space you'll need for the changer.
