It's a nice car. If you like it go for it. The GLT would be a nice model because it has a bit more umph and a couple more things standard that would be extra in the NA.
I've heard some stories of some newer 2001s still left in Florida.
You could always wait until the 2003 models come out and a grab a 2002 since 2001 was the S60s first year out.
