Homer- you didn't say what year or if it was a dealer selling?? since you say 850R it guess it is either a 96 or 97, right? I don't recall Rs coming in White, but i may be wrong. Could it be a Platinum Edition 850???!!!
Anyway if the milage is true, the price seems "reasonible", but for that much $$$ you had better be getting an extra warranty to, say 40,000mls. good luck!
