5 Speed 850's - How are they??? 850 1997

Currently I have a '98 S70 5-speed that I love more than any car I've owned. I am looking to get another Volvo to replace my wife's old BMW. She'll only go with a Volvo if it's a 5-speed though, which means I'll have to look at the base model engine (correct)? Having a second S70 would be a little pricey so I was thinking this would be a good compromise. Does anyone have any thoughts on the 5-speed 850's? I saw a 0-60 time quoted in the 9's, would this be accurate, and if so, does it feel that slow? Any thoughts on this car would be very helpful; thanks in advance!!
