Urgent! It is raining in Florida: power window failure in down position

If it's just a switch failure, you might be able to get the contacts working again by spraying WD-40 inside the switch from the top and working the switch as I've had good luck doing that before with many switches.

To remove the door panel, first remove the small cover in the handle area that you grab to close the door, then unscrew the torx screw. Next take a screwdriver and pry it under the door panel near the bottom and pry the panel outwords. It's just clipped in so the clips will pop out, very easy. Now, there's a plastic retainer that goes around the door release handle that's usually fussy so pull the bottom of the panel outwords a bit until that retainer pops up some, then take a scredriver and push in around the top of that retainer to release its plastic clips and it'll then come off.
The panel will now come off by tilting the bottom outwords (clearing the release handle) and upwords off the upper window channel (needs a little force).
If there's something bent or damaged with your window, you can always use plastic to cover it for the moment. It's possible that the rear window channel is broken, loose and causing the noise and if so, the window will operate w/o it but rattle alot with the window down.
