850 wagon or V70? 850

They are basically the same car, and like you I fret about Ford influence (note to William Clay Ford: one whiff of your meddling, and I'm gone). Here are a couple differences you might appreciate. The ride in the 70's is widely reported to be less harsh. The headlights are H7's so you can use Phillips VisionPlus (put them behind E-codes and get startling results). The window switches are on the door so spilled drinks won't gunk up the switches. Same platform, seats, electrical. I prefer the 850 instrument panel, though.
