Take your car to a Volvo shop. Ask them to do a "Buyer's Safety Inspection".
This is about a $75 service where they give the car a once over and let you know what's wrong, and how much. What is your car's mileage and do you have any service receipts from previous owners? Has the car had religious services at teh recomended mileage or just so so service at an independent shadetree shop? Make your sell/keep decision after the inspection.
