Are You Sure? 850 1997

Nathan--thank you so much for the information on testing my battery. I'm sorry I couldn't offer more data, except for the battery always going dead. I had a new 60 amp Volvo XC battery installed right before I shipped it here to Norway, and in the six weeks it took the slow boat to get here, the battery was completely dead. I don't know how much that security system pulls it down. Don't know if the glove box light stays on, but that's always a culprit in a lot of dead battery cases. The Norwegian motor magazine I read on a review of the 850's said that poor charging was one of the faults of the car, and given my experiences, I agreed. I will take your advie though and go out, switch the lights on for five minutes to pull the battery down, and then see at what voltage it charges the battery. Thanks again for taking the time to write. Dick
