T-5 / Tires S70

The Michilin Pilot H4 might be a nice tire to look at if cost is
limiting you from replacing with V rated performance tires. We
put a set on my wife's 850 for about $410 (those are 15 inch, though).
A very nice tire.

I use Bridgestone Potenza RE730 in 205/55 R16 on my 98 T5. About
$150 installed (out the door price). They fit with no problem since
205/55 R16 and 205/50 R16 were the original sizes offered by Volvo
when new. A 205/55 will give you a slightly better ride, too.

I would not put on anything less then an H rated tire. But, I drive at
80MPH for sustained time across California (hot) with the family and luggage
and I prefer the faster rated tire for the load and speed and safety factor.
If you do go under H, make sure you get a temperature rating of A (the
highest) since heat buildup is really the big issue.
