The PNP shouldn't have anything to do with the console power. Remove the "coin holder" and the tray directly under the ash tray and make sure the two connectors inside are secure. All of the power and signals to the mirrors, heaters, windows etc. go through them. You can see them on volvospeed.com maintenance bay13.
If, when they replaced the PNP, they did the shifter micro switch, that would explain the loose console and the electrical problems. Again see bay13 for pics.
