Once you decide on NA, Turbo, T-5 or R, then it's Sedan or Wagon, then it's Stick or Manual. But these are all consideraions to think about before you go looking.
What matters most is always the maintenance record. Oil changes, Service history, etc., and who did the work. Are threr receipts to prove it? If the maintence record is really good, then does the car look like has been maintained. Is the wear consistent with the paperwork?
Don't forget to get a CARFAX report too. It will tell you some good stuff.
