Lousy radio reception S70

I have a 98 s70 and a 98 v70, and they both have the same issues. CD sounds great, but radio reception is spotty at best. I mostly listen to cd's so I have just ignored it until now. I'm going to try "hidden" trick mentioned to see if that helps.
