AC INTERNAL TEMP SENSOR 1997 850

If you can, check the ECU codes for the AC - there are a ton of codes that can pinpoint exactly what sensor is bad and why (open, short, fan seized, etc). There are at least 4 temp sensors inside the car that I know of, + the exterior temp. sensor and the solar sensor. Until you read out the codes, you have know idea what is causing your problem.
