I agree wit Don, replacing the clutch in the 850 is no cake job... I'd leave it up to a tranny shop with a good rep.
BTW, I got mine done at a Volvo dealer here in State College, PA... a little more than $800. It was changed at 96K because the clutch bearing was squeeling loud. The clutch did not need replacing, but I had it done anyway since the operation was labor/equipment intensive.
