3' vs. 2.5' Downpipe Performance 850 1996

I have used several setups and can say yes. Bigger pipes do make less low end. That’s pretty well known though. What is not as common of knowledge is volumetric VS mass flow rate. If you change your downpipe too much without having the ecu reprogrammed you will get a check engine light and poor performance. It is due to an oxygen lean fuel mix. Due to increased surface area of the pipe the O2s see less exhaust. Thinking the car is fuel lean they increase the mix.
