Replacing my tires... What do you have on yours? S70

I run the Bridgestone Potenzas and while they are great on snow, they don't do much for ride comfort. I owned a 240 GLT and then a 740T and, by comparison, the S70 rides a whole lot harder. Obviously the front wheel drive makes a big difference. If a tire change will help take the bumps out of the road, I'd appreciate recommendations. I'm concerned that if I hit a small pothole, I'm going to tear the front end out of the car.
