Electiric door locks lock, but do not unlock? S70 1998

Steve,
Make absolutely sure you do not use the remote door release as a passenger is lifting the door handle. This is another of those little quirks with the S70's.
I had 3 doorlock replacements,under warranty thank you, until I realized that simultaneously pushing the elec. door release in combo. with a passanger lifting the door handle damages the door lock solenoid. Once this happens, the door will not unlock with the elec. switch, only manually. You can add this item to a list of poor design/quality parts on the S70's, right along with A/C compressors on the 850's/S70's, 740/760 series fuel pumps etc., etc.
