On the back of the seat approximately 6 inches down from the top you can few a couple of buttons hidden under the leatherette/fabric. Just push down on both of them and have someone pull up on the headrest simultaneously. I had to do this to put on some sheepskin seat covers.

I'm not sure if this will fix your rattling problem.
