Battery Replacement / Preventive Maintenance 850 1996

Yeah, I'm starting to see early signs of wear on my battery: the engine sometimes turns over slower at start; and my headlamps dim the minute I hit the gas. I have yet to see the battery warning lamp turn on, but I don't think I'll wait for that. The brick was originally a leased car, and I believe it still has the original battery. It's getting close to six years now. Yikes.

Thanks tonyg and all who gave feedback and shared their experience with the unpredictable characterictics of the car battery.
