Hi Steve,

This sounds like a classic fuel system problem. Have the Fuel pressure checked out in the fuel bar located at the engine intake manifold.

What I believe is happening is the fuel is not building up to the required 45psi. The first crank gets fuel to the injectors and the second crank starts the car. I have been there done that.
