Question about anti theft 850 1996

If it's like my car you can sit in the drivers seat with the window up and lock using the remote... once the light on the dash starts blinking open your door.. it'll go off. Get out and lock/unlock with the key to disarm. I did it by accident and scared the crap out of myself!

THe system arms when you centrally lock the doors with the key or the remote. The light should remain solid for a few seconds while arming.. when it's armed it will blink. You can also verify and alarm by looking under the hood and right above the engine on the firewall will be a horn... this is for the alarm.
