Charley,
Personal opinions abound. 10 different owners will give 10 opinions. Well, heres mine. I had a S70GLT and loved the car but it had a lousy ride(50,000 miles and no problems). I then bought a S80 2.9 (non-turbo). Good ride and plenty of room inside but I wanted another turbo!!! After 12000 miles I purchased a S60 2.4T and I feel it's the best all-around Volvo today. Yes the rear sear area is smaller than a S70 or S80 but-for me- that was no problem as I have NO children at home and seldom take passengers in the rear (it really isn't THAT small!). With the optional 17" wheels and tires it handles great and the turbo is super. Once you have driven a turbo you are spoiled. The T5 is nice but the best everyday car is the 2.4T. Get the car that you are comfortable with and good luck.
