Could be the spring seats or sway bar ends. To check for Spring seats do the following.
Open the hood and check the tops of the struts where they come through the top of the towers. Grab the large 3"-4" round disk and see if you can turn it, or put a wrench on the bolt on top of the washer and try and turn it clockwise. Bounce that corner of the car and see if the top of the strut moves at all. Both sides of the car should respond identically. If the top of the strut will turn, or if you get some obvious movement then the top spring seat is broken. It's a couple hours to replace it with the proper tools.
The original spring seats do commonly break and will cause a clunk when going over bumps.
