I'm looking for replacement tires for my parents Chrysler and at tirerack.com found a Yokohama Avid Touring that will work for them. I don't get the impression you're looking for a high-performance tire so that might really open up the possibilities. Their car uses a 225/60X16 and the Yokohama is about $50 in that size. Rates better than the $150 Goodyear Eagles they've been buying too.

I've bought tires from tirerack.com for WAY under local retail (like $30 cheaper) and even with shipping, it's a steal.
