I replaced my condensor in front of the radiator with a aftermarket copper one.
it is a good idea to replace the dryer also, but i did not because the leak in mine was a result of a minor accident. and i replaced it 1 week after the leak nad never turned it on untill i had fixed it. therefore little or no moisture was in my system.
the condensor cost me about 125.00 and a dryer is about 75.00 aftermarket I think.
you can easily replace both of theese yourself and then go to a garage for AC service should cost no more than 300.00 including parts. you can also recharge the system yourself with a kit from wal-mart for about 25.00
these are easy parts to change the condensor will slide out the bottom of the car under the front bumber once you remove the 4 screws and 2 hoses.Dryer also has a couple of screws and 2 hoses.
