Common problem, usually due to tarnished contacts on the switch, easily cured for free . . .

Remove the housing, (screws under flap inside pocket, and under ashtray).

You will see the window switch unti, it's easy to get out the whole unit, damn near impossible to remove an individual switch, as you'll see. Just pop the whole thing in a plastic food bag, fill with your cleaning fluid of choice, ( I used paint thinner - also know in the UK as White Spirit, or Turps Substitute - everyone has it - costs nothing) and slosh i t around for several minutes. It will clean up the contacts. Don't use WD40 which screws up most things made of plastic.


BTW my 94 turbo never had a cup holder - thank god! If it did, I'd have thrown it away.
