Sorry to say, I lost my tailgate-lock altogether,remote & switch. Then, I lost my rear demist. Then the rear wiper. As a former 240/owner,I remembered the wiring harness through the roof hinge had to be replaced. So, looking at the hinge I found 3 wires broken - a replacment was due on my V-70.Off I went to the Volvo dealer, bought the harness,$122.00, with club discount, about an hour of labor at home. Everything works/now its the tailgate cover that needs work. A tailgate fix kit from idp should solve the problem.
