Center console removal/SIPS deactivation 850 1996

Sidenote:

The side SIPS sensors/triggers are behind the plastic pieces just below your outer thigh. They are round and metallic, and the coolest thing about them and the Volvo engineers that designed the 850 is that they come with red plastic "protectors" that you can slide over the sensors when you are working on the seats... taking them out etc.

It's things like that that send Volvos light years ahead of domestic U.S. autos, IMHO.
