occasional 'Miss' V70-XC70 1998

Hi,

If the pre-mentioned Service Bulletin does not do the trick then I would recommend that you wait until it gets dark and view the ignition coil in the dark. If you see any "Blue Light" around the coil this would be a sign that the coil as developed a small fracture in the casing and is thus "Leaking Electrical Energy".

Or to put it another way, Electrons are lazy. They like to take the easy path to their destination. If you have a small crack in the coil housing then the Extremely High Voltage that the coil generates will bleed out through the crack to the chassis.

Good Luck,

Steven---
