What if I don't replace my airpump? 850 1997

If the pump is disconnected, the ECU will retard engine performance...if not shut it down entirely. Read the Volovspeed writeup: http://volvospeed.com/Repair/airpump1.htm

What's frustrating is that this $300 boondoggle doesn't perform any operational engine function (though it apparently reduces start-up tailpipe emissions substantially).
