i don't think it's quite the same...

the newer transversely mounted inline-5 has more in common with the similarly transversely mounted inline-4 in the s/v40 and the transversely mounted inline-6 in the s80 (mounted horizontally across the engine bay...gear box had to crooked because it took up too much space).
