Another Air Conditioner Problem 850 1993

I had the same problem and they replaced a pressure sensor switch near the firewall. The problem was that the compressor would never shutoff. This has to cause something to freeze (temp). I agree is could be that the system has too much refigerant, but wouldn't they have to drain the system before they change the part?
